He who believes in me shall live…and Romans 8:35 ”Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

May your lives seek to glorify the Lord Jesus in every situation that you come across, whether it is trouble, happiness, persecution, present or future, death or life.

Collosians 3:2 “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Setting Your Mind on ChristSet your mind’ means to anchor it and let it dwell on one focus.  Before we were born again, the focus of life was our self. This passage in Colossians is saying Since you were raised with Christ, you have a new life in Him.  His life has come to you.  All that He purchased belongs to you—forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, the gift of the Holy Spirit, adoption into the family of God and heaven as an everlasting home.  It’s all yours because you are His! You are a citizen of heaven, you are raised with Christ so keep your mind on Christ.

Setting Your Mind on Christ

True worship is God-centered worship. True worship is not confined to what we do in church or open praise. True worship is the acknowledgment of God and all His power and glory in everything we do. The highest form of praise and worship is obedience to Him and His Word. To do this, we must know God; we cannot be ignorant of Him (Acts 17:23). Worship is to glorify and exalt God—to show our loyalty and admiration to our Father.
